Chole, also known as punjabi chana masala, Is a rich and aromatic curry made with boiled chickpeas cooked in a spicy onion tomato gravy. it's popular dish often served with bhature , poori or jeera rice - perfect for festivals , parties , or weekend treats Ingredients : For boiling chole: 1 cup Kabuli chana ( white chickpeas) Soaked overnight 1 tea bag or 2 dried amla (optional for dark color) Salt to taste 3 cup water For gravy : 2 medium onions (finely chopped) 2 tomatoes puree Ginger garlic paste Green chilli slit 1/2 tsp cumin seeds 1 bay leaves 1/2 tsp turmeric 1 tsp red chilli powder 1 tsp coriander powder 1/2 tsp garam masala 1/2 tsp chole masala (optional) Salt to taste 2 tsp oil or ghee Fresh coriander leaves Step 1 : soak & boil chickpeas -- Soak chole overnight in enough water.
